The process of buying and selling a practice can be a daunting task but having a team like the people at Carroll and Company make the process seamless.
We had an unusual selling predicament, as our building was going to be demolished. Since we were leasing the space, our only option was to sell the patient charts; a much lower return on investment for the sell of a dental practice. Based on that, our expectation of the value of the practice was disappointing.
Pamela created a valuation of our practice that was surprisingly twice as much as our expectations. She took the time to understand our needs, expectations and outcomes which shaped the outline for the practice valuation.
It’s one thing to create a valuation but quite another to sell the practice at that price. Pamela created a list of potential buyers capable of buying the practice at that valuation price and fitting our objective of suitable people. We were able to choose the buyer who would continue to care for our patients, like we have been doing over the last 35 years.
Her team lead was Kellie who handled the administrative, processing and paperwork details required to put the sell together. She met both the buyer and seller on a regular basis to ensure that the details in the contract were followed, and necessary documents filed in a timely manner.
Simon was on top of all the technological aspects and government requirements needed to close the sale and gave us ample lead time to prepare those necessary documents. When we had issues with those agencies, Simon was able to circumvent and resolve them.
In the end, we sold our patient charts, all equipment and had the lease assigned to the buyer at a price double what we originally thought the practice was worth. All because we had the best brokerage firm putting it all together. Thank you, Pamela and the team, at Carroll and Company for making our dreams a reality.
